In Conversation is a roundtable discussion centered on an album with the current social topics of the day serving as an appropriate frame of interpretation. The goal of this series is to create an intimate setting for artists to share their process, interpretations and more importantly their connection to listeners. 

This pilot episode is a discussion around Monograms’ album Only A Ceiling Can Stay Inside Forever, released July 2020. Frontman Ian Jacobs is joined by Rebecca Satellite (A Deer A Horse), Tasha Abbott (No Swoon) and Keith Kelly (Jelly Kelly, Monogold) to consider the record, the pandemic and social anxieties. The discussion was recorded in September 2020 and moderated by Ears to Feed Editor-in-Chief Maxwell Cann. 

To coincide with the release of this pilot, Monograms announced their upcoming EP Floors and Ceilings will be out June 18 on PaperCup Music. The EP will serve as a companion piece to their 2020 LP featuring a host of new material plus remixes by Hexadiode, Dante Fiero and Hiko Men.
