On this episode of In Conversation, we had a great chat with Dimitri Giannaopoulos of the Boston indie rock band Horse Jumper of Love.
I caught up with Dimitri after a shift at his job working for the legendary Boston guitar pedal company Klon to talk about the brand new Horse Jumper of Love album Natural Part, out now on Run For Cover Records.
The album is a big leap for the band, as they have found ways to move past the slowcore template that many fans may associate with them, allowing Dimitri’s songwriting to expand into exciting territories—incorporating elements of Beatles-indebted pop and early alternative rock jangle.
In this conversation we discuss the writing of the album, Dimitri’s complicated feelings on growing older in DIY and so much more.
