On this episode of In Conversation, we sat down for a chat with Mike Leonard of the Minneapolis punk band The Bleeding Hearts to talk about the exciting release of their long shelved album Riches To Rags. This album holds a special place in music history, as it contains the final recordings ever to feature the legendary Replacements guitarist Bob Stinson. The album will be officially released on Record Store Day this year through Bar / None Records and will contain extensive liner notes from noted Mats historian Bob Mehr.
The record is a must listen for any fan of The Replacements as it closes the book on one of the most unique and influential guitarists in punk and alternative rock. In this conversation Leonard and I discuss how this project all came together, his memories of Bob as not only a bandmate but a roommate, and so much more.
