Ears to Feed is honored to welcome Brooklyn’s shapeshifting punks The Men for the latest episode of In Conversation to discuss the 10 year anniversary of their groundbreaking 2011 album, Leave Home.
In honor of this momentous occasion, Sacred Bones Records will be reissuing the album on Sept. 24, 2021.
Mixing influences from punk, hardcore, shoegaze, no wave, black metal and krautrock, there was nothing that sounded quite like it at the time, and it’s influence can be felt throughout underground music today.
Although the band has made numerous lineup changes since it’s release, the three members that helped to create the opus — Chris Hansell, Mark Perro and Nick Chiericozzi — sat down with Ears to Feed staff writer Pat King to discuss the early years of the band, Sacred Bones, their memories of recording and touring behind Leave Home, and it’s lasting influence.
