New York’s Horse & Wells premiere their melancholic single from their upcoming self-titled EP due out Feb. 26th by Ghostie Recordings.
The Long Island based five piece originally formed in 2018 with the release of their debut EP, Summer Dress. The group enveloped their sound in the Island’s well-established emo roots, while adding a hint of western folk sounds.
On their new single, the quintet meld unique influences with an array of instrumentation that envelopes the listener in a warm blend of acoustic guitars and nostalgia.
Singer Steven Falco illustrates a struggle of being truthful to oneself as the calendar year turns another page, and the baggage that treads behind you. Layered with harmonious backing vocals, dampered piano and sparse drumming, you can’t help but reimagine those crisp fall nights in the dark.
