With so many shows happening in and around New York City every week, it can be difficult to sift through them and pick a handful to attend or just RSVP. Ears to Feed is here to save you time and frustration with a weekly listing of our most anticipated shows.
Also due to the rise in cases in the past week, we ask that you please only go to shows if you are fully vaccinated and continue to get tested if you have symptoms after shows.
Wednesday 7/28

Hailing from the woods of Western Mass, Surfliner promises to deliver a genre-bending show. Accompanied by the friendship forward pop-rock band, Start the Week Over, Berlin Under A will be dosed in a familiarity that feels like a forgotten touch from an old friend.
Thursday 7/29
Flying Lotus, Reggie Watts, Jerry Paper
Brooklyn Mirage, 140 Stewart Ave. Brooklyn, NY
8pm | Tickets (19+): https://bit.ly/3BHEB5E
Flying Lotus shows are usually rare sensory and visual experiences on another level. Having just released his own Adult Swim animated series Yasuke, Flying Lotus has slowly started revealing live dates around this fall’s Pitchfork Festival. Opening is comedian Reggie Watts and mellow indie pop songwriter Jerry Paper, we have no idea what surprises lay ahead of us for the evening but we suggest arriving early!
Friday 7/30
Tomberlin, Cassandra Jenkins
TV Eye, 1647 Weirfield St, Ridgewood, NY
7pm | SOLD OUT
Despite this sad indie ethereal rock show being sold out, it was too perfect to pass up calling out. Both masters at transporting their listeners to a world that exists beyond our corporeal forms, Tomberlin and Cassandra Jenkins will surely enchant the crowd at TV Eye Friday night. Ask your friends if they know anyone with an extra ticket!
CLAVVS, Noods, b3cca
Our Wicked Lady, 153 Morgan Ave, Brooklyn, NY
7pm | Tickets: https://bit.ly/371x03P
CLAVVS is celebrating the release of their sophomore album with the eclectic crowd at Our Wicked Lady on Friday night. They have always created pop songs that center the weight between celebration and rumination; their sophomore album promises to live up to that sentiment. They will be playing alongside Brooklyn-based indie-pop project Noods and hyperpop project b3cca.
Saturday 7/31
Bright Eyes, Waxahatchee, Lucy Dacus

Indie veterans Bright Eyes are currently on tour supporting their first release in a decade, Down In The Weeds Where, The World Once Was. It’s been lauded by critics as a welcomed return and they’ll be joined by two of the best songwriters of the past decade, Waxahatchee and Lucy Dacus. We highly recommend you get there as early as possible to not miss either’s set!
Sunday 8/1
Ovlov, Bad History Month, Nyxy Nyx, Castrated Caligula

This is the first show Ears to Feed will be hosting with Connetticutt post-hardcore troupe Ovlov headlining this stacked bill co-presented with Exploding In Sound Records. Palberta, Shawty, Sweet Baby Jesus, Cold Deck
TV Eye, 1647 Weirfield St, Ridgewood, NY
7:30pm | Tickets (21+): https://bit.ly/2TAwaIe
Brooklyn avant-garde trio Palberta released their lovely new album Palberta5000 on Wharf Cat Records this past winter. It’s flown under the radar but remains one of our favorite releases of the year as the band is able to meld off-kilter song structure with minimalist pop nuance. They’ll be joined by SBJ who’s live performances are electrifying in of themselves, Corpus related noise-hardcore duo Shawty and Cold Deck.
